2019 Age Group Information - Outdoor Season

Under 5’s (U5) are for children born in 2014 or 2015. They play twice a week on Saturday morning (9:30am & 11:00am) and Tuesday evenings (5:30pm) in mixed (boys and girls) teams. These games will involve 20-minutes of practice (focused on skill development) followed by a game of two 20 minute halves. U5 will play a 3 vs. 3 game format on a third the normal field. This provides players more “touches” on the ball, enhances skill development and is more fun for the kids! U5 will also play in the BSA Soccer Fest held on 01 June 2019 and are included as part of their regular season. Their area of play is only in Beaumont.

Under 7’s (U7) involves children born in 2012 or 2013. The Boys practice Mondays and play Wednesdays and the Girls practice Tuesdays and play Thursdays. These games usually start at 5:30 pm and will involve two 25 min halves with a 5 minute halftime. The practice sessions will be 60 minutes focussed on skill development along with both individual and team development. Boys and girls play on separate teams. U7 play a 5 vs. 5 game format including the goalie, crossways on a full sized field. The U7 will also play in the BSA Soccer Fest on 01 June 2019. Both events are included as part of their regular season. Their area of play is only in Beaumont.

Under 9’s (U9) involves children born in 2010 or 2011.  U9 Community players play twice a week. Boys play on Mondays & Wednesdays and the Girls play on Tuesdays & Thursdays . The games consist of two 30-minute halves. They play a 7 vs. 7 game format. Teams are finished at the end of June unless they qualify for the City Championships which are held the first week of July. Their area of play is Beaumont, Mill Woods and Southeast Edmonton. The U9's are also a participant group in the BSA Soccer Fest held on 01 June 2019.

Under 11’s (U11) involves players born in 2008 or 2009. U11 Community players play twice a week, both genders play on Mondays/Wednesdays. They play an 8 vs. 8 game format. The games consist of two 35-minute halves. Their area of play is in Beaumont, Mill Woods and Southeast Edmonton. The U11's are a participant group in the BSA Soccer Fest held on 01 June 2019.

Under 13’s (U13) involves players born in 2006 or 2007. U13 Community players play twice a week on Tuesdays & Thursdays with a possibility of a few Mon or Wed as per EMSA. They play an 11 vs. 11 game format with two 40-minute halves. They will play against Southern Conference team throughout the season and will be tiered twice following the initial tiers at season start. Their are of play is Beaumont, and anywhere within the Conference boundary. BSA will be hosting a U13 Tournament called the Beaumont Summer Splash 21-23 June 2019 and teams in this age group are encouraged to participate. Under 15’s (U15) involves players born in 2004 or 2005. U15 Community players play twice a week on Mondays & Wednesdays with a possibility of a few other days of the week as per EMSA. They play an 11 vs. 11 game format with two 45-minute halves.
