Concussions

A concussion is a type of traumatic brain injury caused by a bump, blow, or jolt to the head or by a hit to the body that causes the head and brain to move rapidly back and forth.  Concussions do not show up on imaging like an x-ray, CT, or MRI scan.

You don't have to pass out (lose consciousness) to have a concussion.

The Alberta Soccer Association has created a Concussion Protocol and Policy that every soccer team playing in Alberta must adhere to for the safety of our players.
